Blackpink dazzles on stage during the legendary Coachella headline performance.

At Coachella, Blackpink recently made history. The K-pop powerhouses Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé capped the second night of Coachella on Saturday with a nearly two-hour rendition of their best songs.

Although the show really began 30 minutes later than expected, the audience didn’t appear to notice. A group of dancers started a spectacular choreography, generating interest in the girls. Blackpink then appeared from behind a curtain of smoke, bursting into a fiery performance of “Pink Venom,” to the wild applause and cries of the audience. They launched into “Kill This Love” immediately and then interacted briefly with the audience, with each female taking a moment to identify herself and express gratitude to them.

The band’s two-hour Born Pink World Tour repertoire was adjusted for the performance, and they finished the first act with several crowd favorites like “How You Like That” and “Kick It.”

Each member had a chance to shine on their own during the second act: Jisoo sang her most recent single, “Flower,” Jennie sang “You & Me,” Rosé did a medley of “Gone” and “On the Ground,” and Lisa wrapped up the solo Share with her hip-hop-inspired smash, “Money.” The singer Jisoo said in an interview with Rolling Stone last year that she “wasn’t sure yet if I wanted to go solo… There are a lot of contradictory questions.

Without letting up, they all dove back into their catalog.
The crowd was enthralled and even singer Jungkook could be seen there. Blackpink’s rendition of “Boombayah” had the entire crowd singing along with them, and after that, the group changed to an incredibly lively rendition of “Lovesick Girls.” “Playing With Fire,” “Typa Girl,” “Shut Down,” “Tally,” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU” were the songs that came after. The girls thanked everyone one again before the big finale, which included “Forever Young” and a stunning display of pink explosions and pyrotechnics that astounded the audience.

A dream has come true with this. In reference to her performance on the Sahara stage four years ago, Rosé once said, “The reason we’re all four is because of all of you.
